VidhyaApp is an educational institution management platform designed to connect schools, administrators, teachers, parents, and students. 2. Vehicle Tracking & Location Telemetry
(A) Nature of Location Data (Approximate Proximity Only):
The bus tracking feature provided in the VidhyaApp Mobile App displays geographic coordinates transmitted periodically from the mobile devices or hardware operated by designated school bus drivers. This tracking is provided strictly as an approximate proximity indicator and is NOT a guaranteed precision navigation, emergency tracking, or exact real-time positioning instrument.
(B) Technology Limitations & Signal Latency):
GPS telemetry is inherently subject to cellular network coverage, satellite drift, hardware battery states, mobile operating system background restrictions, and transit latency. Neither VidhyaApp, its developers, nor platform hosting partners guarantee continuous, real-time, or faultless transmission of vehicle coordinates.
(C) Sole Responsibility of School & Transit Staff:
VidhyaApp acts purely as an informational software intermediary. The affiliated School Administration, designated transport contractors, bus operators, and authorized drivers bear sole and exclusive responsibility for:
- Vehicle physical road safety, route adherence, and passenger supervision.
- Actual pick-up and drop-off timings and communication with parents.
- Ensuring drivers actively and safely transmit accurate telemetry during shifts.
(D) Complete Developer Limitation of Liability:
VidhyaApp and its software developers hold no liability for bus delays, missed stops, accidents, traffic congestion, hardware failures, inaccurate location pings, or any events arising from reliance on the proximity tracking feature. Parents and guardians must coordinate directly with the school administration or transport coordinator for all physical transit matters.
3. Information We Collect
We collect only the minimum information necessary to deliver educational and school administrative functions:
- Student Academic Profiles: Full name, roll number, assigned grade/class, section, academic attendance, examination report card marks, and optional student photo for digital ID card generation.
- Guardian / Parent Information: Name, phone number, email address, residential address, fee invoice billing history, and feedback submissions.
- Driver & Staff Telemetry: Vehicle route name, assigned bus number, and GPS coordinates during active route transmission shifts.
- Device & Technical Telemetry: Device type, OS version, Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) tokens solely for delivering push notifications (e.g., fee reminders, emergency announcements).

- Student accounts and profiles are provisioned solely by the authorized school administration.
- We do not display behavioral ads, commercial sponsors, or marketing trackers to minors.
- Parents and guardians retain the right to review, update, or request the deletion of their child's records through the school administration.
